I got the phone call today saying "mom I have been pushed back". I was told the new graduation date. I was told that he failed a test twice. What happens if he fails the third time? Needless to say he was in tears.

Linda,

Praying for your son's strength and that he will be able to pass. I know this means a lot to him so praying that he can make it.

What test did he fail? this might give some insight to help you with the failing a third time question.

All he said was academics.

I am a very new mom to all of this but will keep your son in my thoughts. Please update us when you know more.

My son called last week to tell me he failed a acedemic test by 2 points and his grad date has moved from September 15th to the 29th. My heart aches for him. He sounded a little beat down. Went in July 12th. He has to even be put in a new division. So sad after he had marched well enough to be named a section leader in that division. I will keep you in my prayers Linda.

melody, I left info for you on your My Page.

I will think many good things for your son; my heart is sore for him as well. It is so difficult to be away from home and know that they are having a hard time. Please let us all know as you hear more.

I have good news! Got a letter from my son yesterday. It was very upbeat and he said he really likes his new division. Said his new RDCs (?) Are really "chill". His division even got to listen to some music last Sat. Hadn't done that since July 12th! (We are a very musical family for sure). Anyway, I feel much better, continuing to write him each and every day! He said in his letter, the letters i send make basic certainly easier!  I try to always pump him up! Ready to graduate Sept 29th and head to San Antonio for (A) school!

Mama Bear, that is great!

Great News Mama Bear! Glad things are going well for your Son!
Prayers are with you!! Our son graduates a week later!! We are counting the days as I'm sure you are !

Dana, you might find it easier on you to count Fridays until PIR until you get closer to PIR.
