Navy For Moms

I would like to find out what the sailors do when their ships are dry docked for a period of time. My son went to his post, which is Norfolk. Found out that his ship doesn't leave port until November.

Most of the time they are working preparing for their leave.

Is he stationed on that ship or in a barracks? My son is not deploying until Oct but he is in the barracks.

At this moment my daughter is home on leave. She is here until this coming Sunday. Then its off to Virg. where she will be on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. Its great having her home. I am gonna miss her when she leaves. She will be in Virg. for a year, then supposedly she will be going on her 13 month world cruise. I am envious of her getting to see all the different ports and various lifestyles of all the people she will be interacting with along with the different countries. Ah to be young again.... just wanna wish all of you N4M's a great day and hope your sailor comes home soon.!!
