Hi,

My son is not able to come home for Christmas, does anyone know what I could send to boot camp, I was thinking scratch off tickets, is that a no no! If anyone knows I would appreicate the help. How about gift cards, maybe a phone card, I would like to send something.

Thanks,

Save the gifts other than a phone card for after boot camp. Just write lots of upbeat letters and send lot's of funny cards and such.

you can send writing pens, phone card, letters, regular cards, digital watches with military time on them.
no food, no gifts, you can also send a wallet and thats pretty much it.
my son left for BC 12-15.
i send him a letter everyday with encouragment, joy, scriptures, and funny things that happen in my life. i tell him your going to make it and be the best sailor and to remember THAT THIS TO SHALL PASS, AND SOON BE ONLY A MEMORY, so hang on!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope i helped a little.

If you send a phone card, make sure you activate it first. Sometimes the kids don't know how to do that and waste precious minutes figuring it out.
