My son left 11/12/2009 and my stomach still hurts. I was wondering if anybody elses son left on this date. He is on ship 13 div. 053. Looking for others that might be in that same group. Miss him so much.

I called his recruiter they can look it up for you. I called this morning and he gave it to me over the phone. He will receive letters before I receive the box. Miss him like crazy my stomach stays so upset. I didn't relieze this would be so hard. I keep telling myself it is harder for them then us. Thanks, Julie

My son left 11/10/2009 it's been a long week. Called his recruiter on the 12th he did give me his address he's ship 13 div 051. Been writing letters like crazy , but I read that they hold their letters for a couple weeks I don't know? Recruiter also gave me a guesstimate PIR date Jan 15th. Got my box today,even sent back his bible. I thought they could take a bible?

I can't believe they sent the bible back too thats not right. What is the point of the list. I hope they don't hold mail but it wouldn't surprise me. I was thinking my son will probably graduate on the 15th. It has really helped me reading these post. Thanks, Julie

I am sorry to hear that he sent his bible back. Maybe he did not understand. My daughter did not send her bible back. She only sent her cover back. Maybe you can send him a daily devotional. I also sent my daughter one to read along with her bible. Also if your son goes to chapel maybe he can ask if they have an extra bible he can use while there. Josie

I am planning on making hotel reservations today, and flight plans this weekend. I am so excited about going, Also I noticed you were from Ashville, I am a little ways down the road in Claremont, near Hickory. Have you made your reservations yet? Also where was your profile pic taken, my fiance is the one on the far left in the front row and it made my day to see this picture!

I made my reservations today at the Residence Inn. We are driving because the delays with the airport I would die if I missed it.

We are not far from Hickory its a small world.

Our plans as of right now are to fly, but driving is not out of the question. I know exactly what you mean I wouldn't miss it for the world! There are four of us that will be going up, my parents were actually dying to go to but because they only get four tickets to PIR it will be me and his family. What is your sailor's name? I have been writing and telling Dillon about the people I have met on here, and i wrote him about seeing his pic on here and how excited i was to see it!

I got my first letter from Brandon over the weekend and so did his fiance. He was telling her that his bunk mate is from North Carolina and is getting married too. I told her I bet its Ashleys Fiance. That would be crazy if the world is really that small. I am sooooo excited about January 15th. Julie
