Son's leaving for Boot Camp 11/03, anyone else?

Seems like it was forever ago he started the DEP program, but on November 3rd, my son Mike is due to go to bootcamp in Michigan. Reality's hitting and I'm a wreck. He seems ok, trying to stay focused and running a lot, getting ready, excited about his going away party which will be this Saturday, Oct. 24th. Just wondering if anyone else has a child leaving this time. Sure could use the company

Well,,,,another day and still no form letter! I am going crazy! Is there anyone else who's kid left on 11/4 who has not received their form letter? I feel like I am the only one and I am getting really upset here. I can't relax until I hear something from him. I just need to know how he's doing and an address to mail his letters to would be nice. I really could use some encouragement.

I am so sorry, I thought for sure it would be today. I know how hard it is to wait. I'm trying to think of the time line, Mike left on the 2nd and got there the 3rd, I got the letter last Thursday in New Jersey. It's got to be tomorrow!!! With the holiday and Sunday that still seems in line. I'm praying for you that tomorrow is your day. I remember reading no news is good news but as one Mom to another I know thats no help. Try to hang on, I'm here if you need.

My son left November 3rd too. What ship and division is your son? I did get a call from him around 8:30 that evening telling me he was there. It was short and brief, he said he would call in 2 weeks. Tomorrow is the two week mark I am hoping he does get to call. I did receive his Graduation info last Friday, he Graduates Jan 8th. This is my only child which makes this so very hard but we are dealing with a roller coaster of emotions daily. We are so very proud of him though.

My son Mike is ship 03 div 042. When he made his 30 second call he said he'd talk to me in 3 weeks, haven't heard a word since except the form letter. But he also graduates on the 8th. Mike is my oldest of 3 kids but I'm right on that roller coaster with you.Letting go sure is tough, and no contact is downright painful!l Dying to get an actual letter or phone call. Let me know if you get a call. Are you going to graduation?

Jesse is ship 03 div 41. I hope the phone call we are "supposed" to get today is not another 10 seconds. If it is I will take what I can get. Yes, we will be at graduation, the hotel rooms are already booked. I was a little surprised only 4 people can attend. We have a large family so I am sure his decision on who he chose to attend was hard. I am sure our sons are doing a great in Basic! We just need to hear it from them for ourselves to give us peace of mind. I will be sure to let you know if I get the call today! Today is a good day for us since we are anticipating that call. I cannot get my hopes up but it is so hard not to.

any phone calls yet? My son is on ship 6 division 907 I have received 2 letters, but no call yet. I am hoping Thanksgiving day we will get one. He was a little upset because he said he hasn't received any of our letters yet (even though we write every day). let me know if you have a call yet, i am going a little stir crazy and i think the mailman thinks i am a stalker!!! No calls yet! Just letters, my son did say he did not know when they will get to call home. Everyone is afraid to ask the RDC's about it. Leah I agree about being a stalker!! LOL My letters have finally caught up with him. I received all his letters at once yesterday. In the beginning of his letters he was asking for pictures and I already had sent them before I knew he wanted them. Later in his letters he had received them. His last letter was written Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My son left for great lakes on Nov. 3. he will graduate Jan. 8 2010 .He is on ship 6 div 907 anyone else out there? The holidays are going to be tough. His older brother leaves in Jan I have one graduating and one going in. This is very hard sometimes, but i am very proud.

I am curious about something. My son left for boot camp 11/03. He has sent letters twice now to his wife. All were a little depressing because he is missing his family and really wants to be home. He also has a 2 yr old son. My question is, can he only send one letter out, because we have never received one and no phone calls yet?
