I am looking for moms who sons or daughters who is on the USS WASP

Fay, I'm sorry that my son-in-law is not on the USS WARPS; however, I wanted to reply anyway because I saw that your son was deployed in Iraq and that he got the Petty Officer of the Quarter/Year award. My son-in-law in coming home from his first deployment and I wish I could see the ship come in with all the sailors lined up around the deck getting their awards for a job well done. And I see by your profile that your son is an officer. Also, very impressive. Thanks for letting me reply back. I know it was not the information you were looking for, but see your son has already gone through a deployment and you got to see him come home gets me in touch with the excitement in my daughter's voice last night. Tell Darrin thank you for serving. I so appreciate more and more the sacrifices these young men and women are making four our freedom and our country. God bless you, Fay.

Yes - my son who is on the USS Bataan, which is a ship just like the Wasp.

Hi Fay, my son is leaving california and going to norfolk to be on the uss george bush new carrier he is on his l4 year...I wish you blessings and prayers, he will enjoy it mike is a lifer and loves it i could not see him doing anything else, he just came back from his deployment in africa.
Please do not worry, they take care of each other their own so to speak lynn an ark mom moved from arizona to the 4 seasons what a change lol

My son just got his orders last week to report to Norfolk on 29 December 08. He will be on the USS Wasp. We are going to have him home for Christmas and I couldn't be happier! I am excited to hear about the Wasp and how your son likes it. So glad you started this discussion and look forward to chatting with other Wasp Moms!!

Hi Fay, just joined this website, but my son has been in the navy now 4 yrs next month, he was on the wasp the whole time and met a wonderful sweet girl on the wasp which they got married so she is still on the wasp and he is up in A school now.(he is re-enlisting) Not sure what ship he will be on when he gets done. I know it won't be the wasp.lol , Right now I am looking for apts in the area, the one they are in scares me to death,He's already had his motorcyle stolen there all they left was the cover. I was just sick for him.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply i have had computer problems. Welcome to navy4moms. I have been looking for moms who have daughters or sons on the wasp.My son had been on the nashville the entire time that he has been in the navy he's only been on the nashville now for a year and a half.I was please with the apartment complex that he live in, it was very quit and the area was clean.

Hello everyone, my son is on the USS WASP also.

My daughter Lauren is on the USS Wasp. It is my understanding that they left today for Spain. I was expecting a call from her this morning that never came. This is her first trip on the wasp any longer than a week. I would like to send her some goodies but don't know what would be appropriate. Anyone have any ideas? I want to bring a smile to her face :) Lauren has only been on the wasp for a few months so I am not really sure what to expect. How long does it take for her to receive packages I send while at sea?
