For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Update so far

My son shipped to RTC 10 Apr 2018 On P5 he was sent to RCU because Medical saw an issue and they needed more testing. While in RCU he got a virus and pneumonia, was dizzy lightheaded had nosebleed. An appointment with the dr was to be monday morning. He went to shower before the dr appointment and passed out in the shower. He was sent to the hospital ICU for 3 days then the regular ward for another 5 days. On return to the base he was sent to SEPS to be sent home. He fought his separation and WON! on Wed 30 May 2018 he was sent back to a new div- ironically his original PIR was 1 June 2018. We have received his form letter with his new PIR 20 Jul 2018.

For everyone that has doubts and worries- I get it. Essentially we are doing double RTC. this is quite a rollercoaster ride and I, for one, can't wait to be at PIR. Hang in there everyone. It CAN HAPPEN

Mern, that is such Wonderful News, I am so Happy for your Family and more excited for your Son! He has gone thru so much these past couple of Months I am so relieved he has gotten better and most of all he is able to continue on with what means the world the most to him! Hi Mern, that is amazing news! I am so happy for you and your son. Even though it was a little rough ride for you and your son at the beginning, God sent you both patience & strength to hang in there and to be strong! Sending you and your son a big hug and let him know that we are cheering for him and praying so he can continue his journey here in BC. Have a beautiful day!
