Navy For Moms

Hello Fellow Navy Moms!

Can you please share with me what to expect out of the next several weeks or how I can find out? Such as, how many weeks of Basic, then on to BUDs? How long, what contact if any can I expect, etc.?

Thanks much!

Hi there . . . Welcome to NFM:)!
I'd recommend joining the SEAL Moms group where you will find answers to many of your questions . . .
http://www.navyformoms.com/group/sealmoms
there's also a link on that group page to the pre-BUD/S group . . .

Boot Camp is the same length for all recruits (7 - 9 weeks depending on number of recruits in processing) . . . when you have a division number, you can go to the RTC (Recruit Training Command) website to find out when PIR (Pass In Review/Boot Camp graduation) is . . . pre-BUD/S is held in Great Lakes (they move 'across the street' to the Naval Base) and can be anywhere from 8-13 weeks long after which they are sent to Coronado for BUD/S . . . you can get lots more info with links to websites to find out more about BUD/S from those in the SEAL group . . .

I'm glad you're here:)!
