Godsgirl - ME!! My daughter is a non performer in Division 920. I just got a phone call today - I hope you do too!! She is the WPO for the division.
Hi ladies! Me too! Been waiting all day to get approved for the navy moms site! I'm in! So my son called today. He is in the 920 division. He asked me if I knew any of the parents in his division. Melahead, what's WPO mean?
Jen - WPO is the Weapons Officer. She is quite proud because her father is very much into guns and stuff. I am so excited to hear from someone else whose SR is with mine!! It was so good to talk to her yesterday.
teachermom, Great to hear. Thanks for the update.

My son will be playing the Saxophone at PIR. So looking forward to seeing him 3/10 and 3/17.

I got a letter from my daughter today. She mentioned that the next time that Division 920 would be making phone calls would be March 5th. Just a heads up to all of you!!

That is good to know. Thanks for the info. Did she say what is so special about March 5th?

I sent you a message.

She did not say why, just that she had asked and been told that was the day for their division to make calls home. Three weeks is a long time without hearing her voice!! Major withdrawals going on here!! The letters help a bit, but she's not much of a letter writer, so she doesn't say much except how hard it is there and how much she misses us. She also asked for more letters and pictures. I sent some pics with my last two letters, but I think I'm going to print off some more and send one every other day for the remainder of her time. That should cover both, right? I have been writing all week and then mailing on Fri or Sat but I think I'll write a little something to send with each pic. I'm excited to hear from my baby!

My SR too! He wanted pictures too! Told me to tell the family that letters are welcomed any time.

Mine too is leaving after PIR. I'm thinking my last letter will be mailed the Wednesday or Thursday before. I can't wait till the 10th to watch PIR and see all of our kids performing their duties there!!i wish I could go to PIR on the 24th in person and meet all of you lovely people, but that's just not possible for us. We will be watching on the internet though! As a teacher (?) you probably understand. My husband is an orchestra teacher and this next 2 months are the busiest of his year! I would come alone, but I am helping out my brother withwatching his 4-year-old. My parents help out also, but Thursday and Fridays are the only days they have other things going on. So I'll be at home, watching and crying!!!!
I wish that was our spring break! Ours is two weeks later. I am sure she would appreciate the cheering.
