Hello Everyone, I am new here and don't know much of my son's job except he is ABH. I will have to ask my son what color shirt he is.
My son has left this week, going to be on the GW. His Dad had a brief call, I'm here, thats its. I'm sure once he is settled I will hear from him. I don't know if he can receive email or I'm back to writing letters. He told Dad phone is not good. Think a care package is in need. I'm in TX, anyone have a son/daughter on GW?

Thank you so much for this comment wall! I've learned so much about what my son is doing. It all adds up now. He is a Blue shirt and would like to be on the firefighting end of things. He gets frustrated too about testing, but likes going out to sea. I'm so happy I found this, thank you again!!

Hello, everyone! My son is an ABH on the Bush, and has only been in Norfolk for just over a month. He struggled with the extreme structure of BC and A school, but since being in the fleet, he is soooo much happier. I have been reading up on all the conversations for the last hour, and boy have I learned a LOT. I am so excited to find this group!

Thanks Elizebeth, Have to tell my son to try to study but from what he has told me there's not much time for even sleep. Nimintz will deploy in July and they are out now doing sea trials.

Hey all I just got back from seeing my sailor on the Truman hes an ABF My family and I got quite an extensive tour of the ship with my sailor and his wife. I was proud before but it seems like i could not be any prouder than right now. What a sacrifice these men and women do for us all. and their wives and husbands. I have a tremendous respect for our military and tried to thank as many of them that i could as i walked by all the armed guards protecting the base. and gave many of them hugs all of my sons and his wives friend that are part of it. Well i guess this was quite long so i will check out for now Teri Q :)

My oldest son has taken his exam underway before. Regardless where they're at, if it's exam time, it's exam time, in port or out.
