Hi all. My son just arrived in VA the end of Jan. He's in a barracks on the Portsmouth side. What is going on with the sailors assigned to a dry docked ship for 4 years and no money?

Wondering how the budget cuts to our military will effect our Sailors!? i spoke with my son before we found out about the Lincoln not going to the shipyard as planned.we were planning a visit my husband and i and my Sailor son told me he would need a month advance notice so he could have off,now im guessing he wont need so much notice. my husband is finishing up a job and will have 3 weeks off so we will be going for a visit:) crossing our fingers he can have off some time during those 3 weeks:)

IWooHoo!!!!! God bless all our military

Personally i dont like a weaker America. this will be a domino effect for many businesses ect...i also heard our military pay might be cut 20% of their pay. not liking the change.

Your Sailor will need to ask for time off in advance least mine did. From my understanding they will be very busy next week im not posting on here what the plan is but ... good luck and have a wonderful time:)
