I'm from Cabot and my son just left on 10/30. Coleman's my oldest and I miss him something awful but know this is the best thing he could have done for himself. I'm anxiously waiting for the letter and the box. I don't know what division he's with or anything yet. Recruiter said to check back with them on Friday. I LOVE this site and am on here nearly daily. He will be going to Charlestone after BT for the Nuke program.

Hello AR Moms. I'm Linda from Beebe. Aj left for bc one week ago today. I miss him terribly. I'm home from work today and have been on N4Ms all day reading and watching videos. This site is a blessing. Being able to actually see where my child is and what he is going through is almost therapy. I know he will be ok. We are so proud of him and his decision to serve our country. Aj enlisted as a Corpsman and hopes to serve with the Marines. Looking forward to Dec.

Hi everyone I am Joanna from Cabot. My son left for boot camp last Oct. of 2008 and said it was great... He is now a DCFR on the USS THACH attached to USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 7 out of San Diego, CA. He graduated A. school in March and in April he reported to his ship and in May they deployed to the Western Pacific. I get to talk to him through E-Mail and have gotten one phone call. He said he would have called again a few weeks ago but he got the opportunity to go ride an elephant. I can’t fault him there… if I had the chance to ride an elephant I would go to…lol. I always new that the Military would give him many more opportunities than he would get here in AR but ridding elephants... hmmm never thought of that one…lol

Does anyone else have a son or daughter on the Ronald Reagan or any of the ship in the USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 7?

hello everyone. i am michelle (calebs mom) from pocahontas ar. and my son is on deployment now. it has been a nerve racking experience for me. i dont get 2 talk 2 him very much. except through emails. and that is very hard. but over all i am very proud 2 b a navy mom! i think this has been a good experience for him and for me. but i cant wait until he gets home.

Hi Moms! I'm from Little ROck and my son is currently in OCS Rhode Island and hopefully will graduate in August. We are so proud of him and look forward to his calls and letters. I sit by the phone on Sunday like a love sick puppy waiting on his call! My husband makes fun of me, but will continually ask "has he called yet". We are looking forward to his graduation and appreciate any advice!

Hi everyone! I haven't been in our group as much lately, as Blake is now in bootcamp. I spend tons of time in the bootcamp group and in our PIR group. I hope all of you that have kids leaving for bc later are using this site to learn as much as you possibly can. It truly helps!! Get ready though. Blake was in DEP for just over a year when he left. Although I thought I was prepared, it's the hardest experience I have ever had! I miss him soooo much! The first week was almost unbearable. If you have a chance to spend an entire day, one on one, take it! We spend tons of time together and late nights talking. If I could go back and spend the whole day just him and me I would!

Hello everyone. W e are from Vilonia (Conway area) We have 2 boys. One is a Seabee and the other goes to bc in December. He will be in the healthcorp.
