Hi everyone! Hubby finally got his orders for A School (FC) and he's leaving THU monday to head over.
He had a chit approved for our visit next weekend (sat/sun), but of course, it doesnt transfer to the new command... so my question is how do family chits work in A school? THU they pretty much approve everyone who asks...
Im also curious of the turn around time. I fly out wednesday (he has an appt Thursday that I'm going to). Hes not going to be able to put it in until Monday, and who knows what time it will be when they move him.
Last question: In THU they get liberty days (sat/sun) and it rotates. Tomorrow is his THU liberty (1100-2100) and next week was sunday (0600-2100). Is that how it works in A school too?
Thanks in advance!!!
Chits are usually only good in the command which signed them. A chit signed with RTC will probably be no good over on TSC.
Here are the liberty phases for TSC Great Lakes. He will also begin standing duty, although he needs to go through indoc first before that begins. Looks like the hours are different; if there are changes, they will let him know.
Thank you... I read through it. Im not sure when the classes actually start. It says they could get liberty if its a non working day in phase 1. Not sure, but he saw some fellas from his DIV at the big NEX and they told him it took them 2 weeks to phase up, this post says min. 30 days... not sure if things have changed. He was also told that school was less strict than THU... so I guess i'll just have to hurry up and wait (doing that a lot the past 6 months).
Anyways... i know the chit wont transfer and he has to redo it... just hoping he will have time and get approval. I'd hate to go out there for nothing. I'm trying to decide if I need to cancel this trip and try again later. Im kinda stuck.
