Phoenixmom, I saw this on the news this morning and also on Facebook. I have been praying my little heart out for all of these families, especially the 3 that are still missing. Like you, I know God is in control, but I also have a son that will be deployed out to sea also, scares me to death. I keep holding onto that with God's Grace he will emerge from this journey he has chosen stronger than ever, and whole, whatever that maybe. Prayers for our Navy Seasters and their families during this uncertain time, continuously for sure.

Good Morning Ladies, hope all is well this Morning,

Welcome SusanL to the site they also have a site call moms of hull technicians. Congrats to your Son!

Ok Ladies I hate to be the bear of bad news but this morning I was over hearing that an Aircraft with Some of our Sailors Crashed near Okinawa they were being flown to the USS Ronald Reagan Ship 8 out of 11 Sailors were rescued they are ok, it is the other 3 they cannot find. Please say a Prayer for those Families waiting to hear something on their Loved ones. I am not understanding what and how this is happening but this is the 5 maybe more incident that has happened this year. I understand things do happen but it is making me feel more nervous and scared knowing my son will be getting deployed next year sometime and be out at sea. Not trying to stir things up but just wanting to share the news which is tragic and my feelings and emotions. Just wondering what you all are thinking of all of this. I know it is out of our hands but I cant help but to feel the way I do. Thanks Ladies.

Today is my Friday.  I actually will have tomorrow off!  That will help me to get ready for my Sailors!  My son and 2 female sailors.  If you are from Florida or New York, and your daughters are coming to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving, rest assured I will take good care of them.  I am so excited!

Is she using the Navy issue sheets?  Mostly it is just practice, and well placed hidden pins if she's doing the hospital corners.  Safety pins, or even great big quilting pins, as long as the inspectors cannot see them.  Is she allowed to have civilian sheets?   Just buy a plain white fitted sheet to sleep on.  If she can get her bed made to inspection standards, then she can just slip the fitted sheet over it for the rest of the week/month.

Hey! My new sailor says her sheets won’t fit the bed at a school. Is there some secret that she hasn’t been told on how to make that work?

I make the Hatch green chile Tamales, I put cream corn in the masa mix it well then we spread the masa put strips of green chilis and cheese, then on my red chili Tamales I mix beef and pork together make the red chili using the chili pods and do the Masa for that and start making them I'm not really into the sweet Tamales. I usually do 18 Doz. of both so I am needing time, I usually get my Husband to do the Masa, My daughters and son in law do the spreading and I stuff and roll and Package. so we have a line going. LOL!
