Thank You Barefootie you sure are coming right along with this knowledge I like! Yea right now my son said that they are doing night study it gives them extra time to work on class work, because they are pushing a lot at them before stand down, so he has been really busy with duty and night study.

Mom of two that is what my son is doing he is in BEQ 634, he is a FN has duty every 3 days and it rotates. he will be a EM also, that is why I was asking because he hasn't started A School as of yet, he is basically in Technical school. Anti M--how long is the ATT schooling?  My son just went from BC to A School at Great Lakes.  He is doing firefighting right now........then going on the do EM!  He finishes up his firefighting today, then starts hands on.  Should finish that coming up here, then onto EM.  So.....he told me he would finish up around end of March Early April.  So......will this add onto that?  We were worried about him making up his borrowed time before finishing A School so he could take a little time after finishing school.  If not, not a big deal, he was just hoping I guess!!! LOL.........

Everyone on these sites are so helpful.  I think of questions and before I can even ask them, someone else does, which helps so much!  Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!

As for holidays and weekends, those are normally just liberty days.  However, leave and liberty cannot be combined, so if they are on leave, any holiday or weekend will be counted as on leave.  Liberty must be taken locally, leave allows for travel. So no, they can't take the weekend and Christmas as liberty, then m-f as leave.  Not allowed.

I do have an old blog on here about the difference between leave and liberty.
