Wiffer peanut, Where is your Sailor headed?
Good luck ladies. Our sailor will be leaving on Monday so I'll be leaving the group. There is not a group for where she is headed so I wish you all fair winds and following seas from this group!
Hello Everyone! I just returned from visiting my son. We had a great weekend and had fun exploring Chicago. He really enjoyed having overnight liberty. Now we look forward to Christmas when we will see him next. Hope everyone is well!
Hi Ladies just stopping in to say Hello to Everyone, sure miss being on this site, Hope everyones Loved One is doing Great in A school. My Son Loved it there. But he said the Winters were very Cold. Everytime we face timed he always had a hoodie on inside his Barracks/Room. But they have that really nice thick Coat.
I'm sure Mrs. Anti M is taking care of you all she is Great! And Allison is also full of Knowledge. Hi Allison long time no hear hoping all is well!
Have a Great Evening Folks!
You certainly can visit during A school. Once they know their duty rotation, and have "phased up" and earned more privileges on liberty, a visit can be quite nice. They can even put in a chit asking for family to be their liberty buddy, or you can take the with a friend or two. They can wear civilian clothes during phase two, and they can overnight liberty on weekends during phase three.

thank you ladies- Jana we will wait at our hotel
drmary, The time it takes to get checked in for school in GL can vary. It will depend on how many students from graduation there are, and to some extent what ship/BEQ (bachelor enlisted quarters) they are checking into.
Start looking for a call around 1pm, but it will most likely come around 2ish. If there are lots of students it may take longer.
Where do you wait for them? On base?
Dr Mary a good 3 to 5 hrs we picked up our son at around 3. He called us at 230 and said to be on our way.
Hi ladies- my son is scheduled for PIR on 9/21- then great lakes for A school- any idea how long it takes from when we leave him at PIR until we pick him up for liberty? does it vary according to what "A" school section or dorm they are in?
also- did you ever get to visit him/her while they were in A school?
