Good idea!

If you get a duffel, you may as well just get one more seabag ...

I am laughing out loud at this! Our Daughter wasn't the neatest that's for sure. We found all sorts of stuff when we cleaned her room. I am sure that she will be a bit neater after this! That's a good thing.

She even wanted her own pillow and favorite blanket.  Like Anti M said she does have to put these things away daily and lock them up in her locker.  When we send care packages to her she keeps those things and other stuff we took in the suite case locked up in her locker.  It is a little funny to us just because at home she never put anything away but now she puts everything away.  We constantly remind ourselves she is growing up:)

What about a Duffel to check and then a smaller for carry on when She flies out? Or, just better to get a nice size Duffel for everything. We have to ship her clothes once she arrives at A School.

A school doesn't care what they have as long as it is not a prohibited item such as alcohol, drugs, firearms, or explosives; and that it is neatly put away.  Each barracks (ship) has different rules on items such as food and what may be left out or not (personal bedding, electronics).  As far as personal hygiene items, no one cares once they leave boot camp.  Do remember there is very limited room in their lockers/wardrobes, and they cannot store anything like luggage under their beds.  A sturdy folding or soft sided barrel bag is often a good choice, especially in plain black.

Since she is leaving there, We can bring her those items you mentioned plus baggies for like Q-tips. I guess they cant use those in Bootcamp. Really will just have to wait and see what she finds out.

This is what we did, took her phone/charger and laptop including a few extra clothes (own panties and sports bras) plus a few other items.  Including tennis shoes which she seemed very happy to have.  Of course our daughter stayed in GL for A school so we were able to get some of the basic hygiene stuff she liked, shampoo, conditioner even some Tide pods, etc... We just thought this would save her a little money and help some.  We flew to GL so we took an extra suite case and was able to leave that one with her for her to take her items back to base plus she could use later when she comes to visit or duty station.

Thank you for the info. My daughter will probably be leaving for South Carolina the day after Graduation. I am also going to bring her phone and charger.
