Good Morning TahoeZephyr It was my pleasure to be of assistance. I wish the sites for SD would have more communication but there hasnt been in neither sites. If come across any other things I will post on your My Page. Best wishes to your Sailor and I'm sure all will work out fine. Have a Great Day!

Phoenixmom - Thanks for the reply and recommendations :)  I will check out the C School group and see what comes of it.  The nice thing is I grew up in SD so our sailor has family in the area.  He will certainly have some good support :)

Phoenixmom - Chipmunk mentioned that your sailor is a GM in SD. Our's just graduated from A School in GL.  Can you recommend a group on this site for moms of SD based sailors in C School?

We have several bases in Japan, and a number of ships there.

She would only know that information, as to what duty station she will be sent and what type of ship.

Because PACT sailors have such a short training, they frequently are given their PCS orders while in boot camp.  By the time you see her at PIR, she may know where she will be reporting, and if she will be authorized to take leave to visit home en route to her ship.  Liberty is normal time off, like weekends and federal holidays,  leave is using her earned paid time off.  Most new sailors get a week approved.
