runnermom, my son completed his A School at Great Lakes, was attached to a destroyer, and now is attending C School.  He is loving it!

My son finally got to class up.  He begins his class at GL today and then he will be heading to San Diego for A School.  He sounded so relieved to be starting class.  He graduated in mid-January.  It has been a long couple months but I know it could have been much longer.

Well PIR is done and now the next leg of this journey starts. He had his first day of class. I can’t wait to talk to him tonight to find out how it went! Got his address so I can send him goodies

Good Morning Ladies, received a message from My Son who's out at Sea, said all is good ship life not to bad, keeping him busy, which is a good thing. Said every now and then he get to go through the Hangar deck to get a peek on the outside. Missing us as we are him. Can only get reception every now and then. But it was great to hear from him. Hoping to make plans to go see him when he gets back, fingers crossed!

Hi - my son started A school this week and received his graduation date in April. I would like to attend his graduation, especially since it will be on his birthday.  Do they have a guest limit like they do for PIR graduation?

Hi Moms! I hope everyone is having a great day!  I thought I saw a document link on this website but can’t seem to find it now.  Does anyone know where I can find street addresses to the ships at GL?  My sailor moved when he returned to GL after the holidays and can’t find his new address.  Thanks!

A school graduation is small and usually short.  You need to let your sailor know so they can meet you at the gate and escort you in.
