OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Susan--
What a feeling, watching most of us continue, but when a door closes, a window is opened. Your comments have cheered me up on many occasions, and your knowledge has been extremely helpful to me.

Tyler got his hard orders today. He could leave GL on Feb 1st, but has chosen to stay until Feb. 10th so he won't go in hole on leave so much. He'll be home until Feb 23rd when he reports to Gulfport, MS. We are getting so excited to have him within 2 hours of home.
