Just got home from a workout where a young man stopped my husband who was wearing an OCS Navy sweatshirt that I acquired from a friend. It ended up that this guy spent his last three years of service at GL at the TSC, as an MA. Easy to figure out--he's a cop here now. After we left, my husband said he looks like Navy. I'm not sure what that look is to describe, but we can tell which ones are Marines, too.

Gary, to explain, the Sierra Nevadas are covered with that white stuff....that is what makes the wind chill.

Hi Gary, it is about 60 today, clear and breezy. The breeze is very cold because it blows down into the valley here off of the Sierra Nevadas to the west of me. I went out a few minutes ago to do a few things in the yard, but it's just too cool for me. Seems like spring is taking its sweet time getting here this year. Vee

Gary... Congrats on your son being Phase 2. My son, Corey, did also!!! He enjoyed yesterday with a group at 6 flags! We were there for PIR 2 weeks ago but the park was still closed.

Will... Thanks for answering Gary's questions on weekend liberty. Now that I'm familiar with the area, I would like to make the trip from Erie PA again while Corey is still in A School. We had such a nice visit.

I live in Rock Island on the other side of the state. Just checked the forecast--snow showers through Monday late afternoon, cold and windy. It's always worse by the lake, so GL will get lots more wind and snow. Unbelievable! Where is spring and global warming?

Everyone is awfully quiet today; I guess we are giving Will and Hoppi a break today. How did duty go, Will? Did you get your beauty sleep last night? lol

Hi there Vicki! Now, I remember who you are. Sometimes things get so busy on here that a comment gets lost. I'm so glad Will was able to help you locate that kid of yours. I guess they just don't understand that family worries about them when they don't hear anything. I sure hope he communicates with you a little better now. What a neat picture you posted with the ships...Stay with us on here; you will get a lot of support. Have a greaet day!

Hoppi...brrrrrrr! Stay warm in that snow and hope you had a good breakfast~~

Everyone, have a great day and weekend!!
