OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

FYI, my son called today with the news that he passed requirements today while teaching at RTC. He said he has one more hurdle before he's a certified instructor, but he didn't tell me what else he had to do. I told him I knew I raised a teacher, but had no idea it was him! His sister has a teaching degree, but her dream is to get a job on Rock Island Arsenal--she'd be the 6th generation going back to the Civil War in her dad's family to work there.
