My son Scott had his PIR 11/3/2006 so I have 'been around the Navy block' for a few years. He just started his 4th year.
He currently is stationed at NAS Jax and is an AT3.
Spring of 2010 his next duty station will be O'ahu, but soon after that he'll be deployed either to 'the land of sand' or somewhere in the Pacific.
I do lots of praying for him and ALL our military, especially the families of these guys and gals. I never knew the burden WE would be called on to carry for them :)
It is an encouragement that this forum is here - I hope more take part in this group - that'll be my first prayer request.
Scott is actually home right now for Christmas until 12/27 - he's sleeping upstairs in his old room like a little baby! LOL
I gotta run - but I'll catch you all later.
God bless each of you today

Marlene, Welcome. God has given the gift of prayer and yes it is FREE. Where is your sailor stationed? We will be here for you and your family, we are a big Navy Mom shoulder to cry on, so if there is anything we can do to help you through anything please let us know. We all know the POWER OF PRAYER here. We have seen it work.
May God Bless YOU and YOUR Family.

Welcome Marlene! I was raised in RI but married and now live in TX. You will find much support and prayer in this group and I'm glad you are here! God has been so good as you can tell from many of the postings.

Good evening - this is my first time here.
I look forward to meeting you all on this forum.
I too believe that prayer is the greatest gift we have - and it's FREE!
Know that it is my priviledge to pray for you, your Navy children/spouses - so call on me anytime :)
May God bless you with His love, mercy, grace, and peace this Christmas season and always.
Love in Christ, your sister Marlene from CT

Greetings everyone!
"Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son,will be with us in truth and love" 2 John 3
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and that the Christ Child fills your hearts with the Hope and Peace that His birth, life and death bring.
Thank you Lord Jesus for all these great friends and dear sisters here that you have blessed my life with. I thank you Lord for the sharing, the prayers, the encouragement, the laughs and tears. I pray for each of them, and for all the Navy Moms that feel sadness because their sons and daughters are serving and will not be home for the holidays. May they find peace and love in your loving arms. Love to you all

Dear Lord, please give Linda relive from her pain. Please guide the doctors who are treating Billy so he may get well soon.Thank you for the progress that little Ray is having, soon Lord he will get to come home with family and his friends. Thank you- You are Awesome Lord!

I pray for a friend of ours and Jam who lost his brother this week due to illness. I ask that You please use this to bring Jim to a Saving Knowledge of Who You are, He was beginning to seek you and every thing around him is falling apart, Please open a door for him to get work and to meet friends. Thank you Jesus for helping him get thru this.
