Navy For Moms

Just curious if anyone else is on a boot camp diet. I am trying to lose weight and get in shape for PIR and am dreading all the temptations at Thanksgiving dinner.

I've just been tracking calories and using my exercise bike.Making small changes like drinking green tea and eating spicy stuff helps aid in weightloss.I have found an amazing site for calorie tracking and forums seeing results and tracking my calories visually has helped me immensely the website is www.livestrong.com if any of you are interested.

I'm going to check out that site. I have a free weight room in my complex, but I haven't been utilizing it. I LOVE green tea, but haven't been drinking it lately. Do you drink it unsweetened? How does spicy food aid weight loss? I've never heard that before.

Thanks

I'm not really sure how it works to help but eating stuff made with chili peppers helps boost how many calories you burn.I sweeten my green tea with splenda. Not sure how the green tea works either but I read about a study that said people who drink green tea daily vs people who don't are more likely to lose an average of 5 pounds a year without diet or exercise.Either way I am a fanatic for salsa and throw hot sauce on just about anything so I figure it can't hurt.

Green tea boosts your metabolism. Its also important to remember that cardio is important but strength training work leaves your body burning more calories for longer. Some people recommend mixing cold drinks with hot drinks as it kinda "shocks" the body and can up your metabolism for a little.
I try to do little things like parking in far away spots, stairs instead of elevators, etc.
Good luck ladies!

Do you have stairs in your house or where you live if so you could go up and down a bunch instead of walking out in the cold.
