Me too......and havent recv. a phone call upon his arrival...saw his recuriter said he would be calling Monday with an address...

Hang in there, everyone goes through this and each day it gets a little easier. Don't be surprised if you don't get a call for a little while. Everyone stands in line hoping to get a call in but the entire group has something like 10 to 20 minutes for everyone to call home. I don't remember how long it was before my son called home but it was much longer than I expected. I'm thinking that the only time they get to call home is on weekends. Things might have changed. Oh before I forget, they have to EARN phone privelages. This means the entire group that they are in. If one person does something wrong they ALL loose phone privelages so just hang in there.

mine too left June 3rd, were any of you at that white sox game. my son James is part of the White Sox division 620.

I am doing ok, and I am so proud of him, and want to be positive that he made the right decision, I am learning and reading all I can it helps me to feel close to him.

Hi! I was at the white sox game! My boyfriend left for BC!

My son left on Monday, June 1st for Boot Camp. I haven't heard from him either, but I did get the box with clothes that he left home in it. He even shipped home the tags from the new socks, etc, LOL! So at least I know he's there. Hope to hear from him soon. Having been through this once with my other son, you would think that it would get easier the second time around, but it doesn't. It's the not knowing and the lack of communication that is the hardest.

my son also left June 4th and no word yet...Does anyone know when graduation weekend is? I am thinking it will be around Aug 1st or so...if its 8 weeks long...Praying for all of you and your sailors.

My son left June 3rd...my last communication was at 10:37 pm...I got a text from him when he got off the plane...Can't wait to get more information!

I didn't realize the kids could take their cell phones with them. We were going to have his suspended this week as he leaves next Monday, maybe now I should rethink that?
