ship 09 division 033

Is there anyone else whose son/duaghter is in the division. According to my husband he said it was a co-ed division.

Tabitha - my son is in ship 09, division 33. Still haven't received the "Box" his PIR is Dec 30 - but I asked everyone before and am not sure if anyone answered or could please advise me as to if it would be safe to purchase airline tickets yet? I did book my hotel because that I could always reschedule at a nominal fee. I also never received one phone call yet - he left for BC on October 28th!! I have, so far, only received the form letter with a few handwriting lines from my son. I read on another thread that I should be prepared that when he does call he could be very HOMESICK and possibly crying - this has me so anxious - i just want/need to know he is okay - deep inside I do believe my dad, sister and nephew who all passed away SUDDENLY this year are his guardian angels. xo

you should be getting a letter very soon today or maybe tomorrow? I got my letter today-a REAL letter! He is doing well and has a few younger guys that like to run their mouths and had gotten sent to intensive training...but he's doing good! I am sure ur son is well also :) stay positive

Tabitha, I just found out today, that my son and your husband are in the same compartment. My son is in div 033 and your husband is in div 034, well they are both co-ed divisions and are split, but together. So all the men in both divisions are together and all the women from both are together. My son's name is Lee and he is from Washington. We got a call from him this last saturday, he is trying to decide whether to take Leave or Liberty after graduation. He is headed to Florida for his A-school. What about your husband? We have gotten several real letters, and so have my sister, and some friends who have written. How is it going for you?

It has been going well on our end! We are keeping busy, although I would love to hear from him this week! I am keeping my fingers crossed for a call this week or weekend! We have been shopping for thermals and a new coat for my son for the trip...we're in FL and we don't really ever need anything too warm LOL I have been getting letters every Thursday =) YAY! ONLY 20 DAYS UNTIL WE'RE IN GREAT LAKES! I am getting so excited!! I think this next week will be the hardest for me, just b/c I won't have much going on until around the 18th! We have our family Christmas parties the 18th and 19th and then they have BattleStations on the 22nd-23rd, then of course Christmas! And after Christmas it will be time to pack! So, this week will probably go by pretty slow for me but it's been great so far! YAY GO NAVY!!

Hi Doreen, I am wondering the same question. Should we go ahead and purchase our plane tickets?? I, like you, have already gotten us a room to stay in at the Navy Lodge. Have you gotten the box yet? We have actually gotten several real letters now. And, my sister got a letter a few days ago. I hope you have had some contact, we got a phone call a few weeks ago, and it was very comforting, even though he did cry which of course made me cry, it was still a relief to hear his voice. I did mention to my son on the phone that we were waiting to purchase plane tickets, because i had heard that sometimes their grad date gets pushed back, and my son seemed to think that it was pretty set, Dec 30th for sure!! So I am going to start looking for flights. Where are you staying? More later, Billie
