Hello Everyone - I'm a "newbee" to the Navy and the group. We live about 40 miles North of San Diego. Our son left for bootcamp on 11/10. His PIR is Jan. 15th and then he is off to A-School in Pensacola Florida. Any advice or comments would be welcomed! Is there a "meet and greet" planned in our area anytime soon?

I am new to the group. My son is stationed in San Diego. He graduated from OCS on Nov 6 and is just getting settled there. He will be a SWO. Still has SWO's training to complete in December and then back to his ship. I live in Ky, but would love to keep up with what is going on in San Diego.

Just wanted to say hi to all, my son has been in San Diego for about a year on the Hospital base. He is a corpsman. I have just recently visited San Diega and just wanted to say it is so beutiful and hope to visit agian soon. He doesn't get off the Hospital base much and doesn't get around much because he has no car. But he seems happy there. Is there anyone elso out there with a son or daughter sationed at the hospital??

This is beautiful. Our son was a Plebe at the Naval academy at that time and it was a really scary day. We had a daughter in the subway in New York. What a day.

Any N4M's can march with the Blue Star Mother's at the Constitution Day parade. Have them meet at the top of Broad street, entry 21 at 1:30. Wear a patriotic shirt, hat, sun screen, bring water, walking shoes. We will carry photos or banners of our kids. (I checked this out with our president). Check out the photo on my page of our group at a similar parade.
