No! He was born in Japan. That's where his Dad (my Airman and Evan's older brother) is stationed! I am sooo proud of the kids. No family available whatsoever for support and they did so great. My heart goes out to all of our military families. How do they do this? I see how hard it is from my perspective, I can't fathom what these families do day in and day out.

Very impressive Carole. I saw a CG there, but didn't know who. I knew it wasn't my son, as he was sick over the toilet, and nursing a head injury from drill team. He said tonight when we had a nice ling chat with him that he is the Alpha team. Not sure what that means. It's hard to understand some things and I don't want to make him angry and ask him to explain. I guess he will be moving off the 4th floor soon. Hope his room mate is nice.

I saw her dress, guess I have issues, cause all I could think of is why she can spend so much on dresses while there are so many without a job or a home. But it was very pretty. I am sure it was very much a moment to remember for Jan. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I got a call from Jan today. He and his GF drove to her family farm in Michigan - a long 10 hour drive, but of course it is good to be in a family environment on a holiday.

So Jan told me about what he was doing just on Nov. 24th. He was at the White House representing the Navy in the Honor Cordon for the State Dinner which President and Mrs. Obama hosted for visiting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India. Did any of you see that beautiful gold dress Michelle Obama was wearing? I saw/heard the speech made there (on TV), but had no idea my boy was somewhere in the background. Jan said hearing Obama speak in person is so awesome and that Michelle Obama is very tall. ...Thanks for letting me spout about my sprout. :-)
