OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

✟CHRISTIAN NAVY MOMS

This is a group for Christian moms to make new friends, pray for one another, and share about our lives and faith. We are non-denominational, and our only request is that you are a follower of Christ and believe that the Bible is the Word of God.

Some of our sailors are currently serving; some of us have sailors who are now veterans.  Some of our sailors were born to us; some of us have sailors whom we have chosen to love and help raise. Whatever your situation, you are welcome here.

Good Afternoon Sisters,

It's Flag Day and I want to lift up in prayer and thanksgiving all of our loved ones who are or have served, that we might be free.

Today in a local fb navy mom group that i am apart of, we were requested to pray for the family of an Army young man who died in a accident this past weekend.  Yesterday in this same group, we were asked to pray for the family of a Navy sailor who was in a fatal accident two weeks ago.  And then yesterday, i found out that the CO of the US McCain plead guilty and was sentenced.  Another local sailor was one of those that drowned. It's an honor to pray!

Another thought i have rolling around in my mind/heart.  I am not wanting to minimize the sadness of Bourdain and Kate Spade's recent suicides, but I cant help feeling like our military suicides are just as important to remember.  We have had 2 in the last two years in our local fb group.

Ladies, we serve an awesome God.  I was reading yesterday in Matt 15, where the woman whose daughter was demon posessed asked Jesus to heal her daughter.  Jesus replied at first saying no, he had some to minister and save Israel.  But the word says this Mom pleaded with Jesus in faith and he changed his mind. I wont go into the dogs part of the parable, its :).  I was reminded of how important our prayers are...when we have fervent faith, the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains.

Thank You Ladies for your continued encouragement and prayers for our military!

May God Bless You!

Amen. The Psalms are so comforting...

I love that Psalm, Jesusintheboat.  Thanks for posting!   May we bring glory to God today in our thoughts, words, & deeds.  May we also continue to lift our recruits in prayer, trusting them to our sovereign God!!!

Whom have I in heaven but You?  and there is none upon earth that I desire beside You.   My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.   Psalm 73:       Hugs to all

Andrea that is great to hear. Nothing like hearing from our sailors such a relief.  Thank you Lord for that.
