Navy For Moms

Yep, if we don't start now, they won't have them in time. Please start writing Christmas cards to our Colorado Sailors as well as our Molly's Adopt-A-Sailors. Enlist anyone you can think of to write cards so we are ready with hopefully hundreds when the party starts.

Also, begin picking up small things along the way:
Lotions, shampoos, conditioners, candy, gum, snacks and small Christmas decorations...use your imagination mommas.

Let's be ready to do it up very big.....oh yeah, don't forget "Colorado" stuff.
RSVP to the event page and share ideas and suggestions here. Talk it up folks, talk it up :)

Thanks for everything Chris! I really enjoyed meeting everyone. I just sent an e-mail to friends asking for any assistance that individuals could supply. Please count on me attending with a few friends. I will look forward to seeing you in November. If I can help with anything before then, please give me a shout.

I got my flag at Army Navy Surplus. I am so excited about November already. Hopefully we will have a huge turnout. Keep talking it up and start writing your Christmas cards and gathering your goodies.

Rats, rats rats! Gotta go to a "birthday event" for my m-i-l & am gonna miss November 7th. Chris: did you get the 3 boxes I sent to you last week in time for the Saturday packing?

Rats, rats...rats!

I've already started gathering "stuff" for our November 7th Party. AND I found about 7 boxes of Christmas cards that I can use to to send to our Sailors. I think that I've enlisted the help of a Coast Guard Mom to help write letters. She was wanting to do something but didn't know what. Of course, I jumped on the idea! My mom has signed up for N4M's and now has access to our discussions and she's got AVON to donate...oh, and small tubes of toothpaste. I'm going to AZ this weekend to pick it all up. I MIGHT join the AZ N4M's for lunch. I all depends if I feel like driving an extra 80 miles one way once I get to Phoenix.

JB...since you can't make the packing party we need to meet before for dinner....let me know when you are coming up and don't forget the Sibs...not a meeting without them.

Hey Crystal, did you get to the AZ lunch....did you meet Tuscan Joyce? She helped us get off the ground back when we were just starting.

Gonna be off here until the 14th, but I'll catch up then

Chris,
Yes, I met up with Tuscon Joyce...and AZOKMOM. Very sweet women!! My sister joined us since I was only in AZ for 2 days. Nice to have someone in the car with me for the extra 160 miles round trip!!! *shrug* It was a long day! BUT, When all was said and done I came home with lots of goodies and have been collecting more since then. I'm trying to write letters but I don't know what to do about sounds so redundant. Any suggestions?

We sure do miss you on the site. Hope all is well with you!

Chris N: Not a problem. Am working on getting all of my "post-it notes" re my College Fair schedule together this afternoon. Then I'll be able to think (maybe) somewhat clearly about good possible dates for dinner.

I have sent my RSVP for this. Do I need to know anything besides 'gather stuff'? I have some scouts that will help with cards and letters.

Cool - get them to make lots of cards and letters that means the most of anything to our Sailors and when they come from the kids it makes them priceless. Just start a gathering. Tammie had a great idea and is getting Christmas socks and toys like yoyos, cards etc. Don't know what size socks yet but I'll tell to scoot her hiney in here and share the info as soon as I can.

Looking forward to the "Party"!!woohoo! Starting to write cards & keeping an eye out for some cool stuff-love the Christmas socks idea too.
Also, just to let you all know what a small world we live in
If you remember, The CMC of the Rodney Davis(AdoptASailor project Christmas 2008) was from Colo Spgs. Well, come to find out....he is now the CMC of my son's ship! and he also graduated from the same high school as my son & myself!! and...he was a year behind me(I won't share the year, thank you). My son was soo excited when he found out & he's already had a few conversations with him.\
Look forward to seeing u all....d
