Hi there..Had a great time at Carol's house today..Nice to meet some of the other moms!!!..Sorry I was only able to stay for a little time but enjoyed it to the max....Can't wait to see everyone next time..I will stay later next time..God willing...All the mom's I met are wonderful people..Thanks again Carol..Will keep in touch....
Did you by any chance get any phone numbers?..Maybe Chris will share if you didn't..

Hello, all!
Well, Matt came home from the MEPS and ASVAB and mentioned his hotel roommate had THE FLU. :( Yup, 2 days later, he got the flu. Ugh. We all had flu shots, but they're not working well this year! He's had fever, chills, body aches, horrible chest congestion/cough for a week or so now....Ugh. Luckily, no one else has gotten it (yet?!). He's the oldest of six kids; our others are 5, 8, 10, 13, and 16 years old (all boys, except the 10 year old is a girl).

THEY all had colds/bronchial crud the 2 weeks BEFORE he came home w/flu, sooooooo, they're still working on getting over THAT. :: sigh ::

Anyway, thanks again for all the welcomes! It's nice to feel a part of something. He will be going for monthly meetings and weekly workouts until he does basic in January. Right now, he's gloomy because job prospects are bad in our town, and he's out of money. ;) It's hard to be 18, have no money, and be living at home after half a year away (in college). We have offered him some pretty good home improvement projects for money, and hope he'll take us up on those. ;) I really need my deck sanded/restained!

Gay, praying for you and your impending job search....Tammie, I am new, so didn't see your original note. I gather your husband is recovering from a heart attack? WOW. Praying for you all.

Gay, I am so sorry about your job situation. I'll lift it up in prayer, along with Anthony and your mom. Hopefully something will show up quickly and it will be even better than what you lost.

Tammie - sure glad things are starting to look up for Larry and you. I pray this season of anxiety passes quickly for him and he can start to look ahead with anticipation soon.

I live in Arvada. Hopefully I will find something quickly, but not too quickly. This is a bit of a shock to my thought process, even though I knew it was a possiblity.
