Hi Ladies
I know it has been forever since i have been logged in, it has been a shitty year both me and my husband have lost both our dads in the last 4 months, the one thing that has kept us cheery is that chance graduated from Power School on Sept 25th with distinction, i flew out on the 24th so i could see him graduate my husband followed a few days later after his fathers funeral, we have been hear ever since, Goose Creek is a nice place to be, it definately beats the cold in colorado. We fly home on Saturday the 10th, we have had the most wonderful time with chance and his wife for the last 2 weeks and graduation is definately worth coming to. when i get back home and we can gather our lives back together i will kee in touch more. Ok still no phone calls from my son Aaron. He went into BC 08/19/09. PIR 10/16/09.. I got my parking pass today.. Yipee!! Plane ticket.. check Hotel.. Check.... I can't wait.

Chris, I lived in the Norfolk area for 7 years. It is a lovely place to see at Christmastime. Any late March thru mid May are great as well.

Thanks Gail! I am sure that these 15 days will zoom by! Since he got shore duty he thinks he will be able to get Christmas off. So I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers for all us Moms!

Hi Ladies ! My son was at boot camp last Christmas and I think it was one of the most difficult days of my life. He didn't even get to call, even though I kept the phone by my side all day. I owuld suggest to all of you that don't have a web cam to get one - at least you will be able to "see" your child. I got one and have used it for several visits - it helps with the lonliness. Chris - enjoy your time with Nick - I had Eric h ome for 15 days the beginning of the month and the time just flew by. He starts Power School next Monday. We are going to visit him for Thanksgiving - I can't wait to go!

Hi Ladies,
My heart and prayers go out to all! Nick graduated A school on the 30th and he came home at 11:30 that night. He looks fantastic. I am hoping to upload some pics this weekend. He is home for 15 days then he is off to Norfolk.

Good morning ladies. My son also had a birthday yesterday. He is 24 now. While it wasn't his first away from home, it was his first so far away. I am not looking forward to Christmas as he probably will not come home and he will most like be on a 6 month cruise next year. That will mean two Christmas' away from home and he has never missed a Christmas at home.

Have a wonderful day and keep your chins up. It will be worth it in the long run.
