Good Morning, and thank you Elaine.  I guess I should introduce myself. Please just call me Tee.   I joined the group a few days ago.  I'm single (fivorced) mother of a boy, girl, and grandmother of 2.  My sailor is youngest and he's in the Aircrew.  My daughter is an R.N. at a skilled nursing facility   I've been active on N4Ms since 2009 and have operated in "safe waters" thus far but when I realized that I was feeling "nervous" about joining this group that really scared me. Has our country really gotten to the point where we have to hide?   I've been a conservative Republican since I voted for Ronald Reagan.  I've spent so many years voting for people and issues that didn't win, I feel like a salmon.  What makes it worse is that I live in California!  I spent some time wondering what to do after the last election.  Give up?  Move to....well, where?  Texas?  I guess there is only so much time to feel bad before one looks for something to DO.  For me, joining this group is a small, positive action.  I hope to find others to talk to with similar political belifs.

Still here.  I must admit I went through a few weeks of serious depression over the election results.  Now, I am just praying that the Lord will bless all of our elected officials with His Holy wisdom to do the right thing for our country and the people.  National and world news is very disconcerting.  The only thing to do is pray.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this very Holy Season.  Hugs to all of you, Elaine

Hello.....  Is anyone still around?

Congratulations to all whose sailor advanced today. You have the right to be proud.  To you moms whose sailors didn't make it, my thoughts, prayers, and hugs go out to you.  You have a right to be proud, too, but it's hard to know your kid is hurting today.  Mine is hurting.

Well, at this point I'm pulling for either Rubio, Jindal, or Ryan (all three are good Christian men).....too soon to say though.  There is so much chatter out there on conservative websites.  It's actually scarey.  Mama Nonie is right:  we have to pray and pray hard.  I read an article with an interview with Franklin Graham (Billy Graham's son).  His advice:  PRAY!!!  Especially pray for the Lord to change the hearts of our elected officials....all of them....no matter which party.  They all need to realize that this country is all about "WE THE PEOPLE"!!!  Just like our sons and daughters in the Navy (and I'm certain all the other branches) were taught in boot camp, Officers' Training, Naval Academy:  they are here to serve the people of the US.  That is what the Admiral at my son's graduating class said:  you are here to serve.  Well, the politicians need to take an example from the military (set aside the Petraeus scandal) and realize that they are the SERVANTS of the people of the United States of America first and politicians LAST.  So, we need to be praying for someone to emerge who will have the heart of a server.  Scripture tells us that we ARE to pray for those in authority.  That's a hard order, but if our country is to survive this mess....and it's a mess in every area.....we must turn ourselves to the Lord.

Hello Rose.

I began voting in the presidential election of 1976, and it is a very sad time for the U.S. and our children and grandchildren.

I want to share something that happened to us on Tuesday, election day.

Our entire subdivision of over 300 houses was vandalized!

Between 0930 and 1100, every house that displayed a GOP sign in their front yard or on their house had their signs removed/stolen!  Yes, in broad daylight some person(s) came onto our property and removed our signs.

When I discovered this after coming home from voting, I was livid...angry not so much that my sign was missing, but furious that my First Amendment Right of Freedom of Speech had been violated and that some person(s) actually trespassed on my private property to steal from me.  Some of my neighbors had their signs attached to their houses, so the "perp(s)" actually had to come and not only tread on their land, but touch their dwellings!

With over 300 homes in our neighborhood, this was NOT a teenage prank, as the children were in school.  A gentleman was able to catch at least one person on video and show it to the police.  It was an adult!  If not for the video, it would have been dismissed as, "oh it's just kids."

I guess the "kinder, gentler" party decided that it was ok to take away our First Amendment Rights.

Several of my close-in-proximity neighbors had obama signs up.  Did I go steal theirs'?  No!  I respect their right to choose, to make a statement, to speak up for what they believe...even if I disagree.  Instead, I went to Wal Mart and bought poster board, metal stakes, markers, "No Trespassing" signs, and 2 small American Flags.  I made my own Romney-Ryan sign that also said "Freedom of Speech" and "Remember Our Fallen In Benghazi" on it.  I attached a "No Trespassing" sign to the bottom and flanked the sign with 2 American Flags.

I must say that I got more attention from "passers-by) than my "official" Romney-Ryan sign.

But, the reason for me telling this story is that it proves what the next 4 years will be like:  if you don't like something, destroy it; if you like something, take it; if you disagree, violate the Constitution.

We must pray, and pray harder than ever before for our country and ALL of our brave men and women who wear their uniform proudly and defend our country.  I say this with tears in my eyes as I think about our military and veterans around the world.

4 More Days!!!  Let's get out and vote.

A comment and observation:  is anyone else furious about the Benghazi cover up?  Besides the economy, I believe this a paramount election topic, and FOX news appears to be the only ones addressing this travesty.

We are actually considering putting up a sign in our front yard:  "Mr. President, what about Benghazi?  How could you stand by knowingly and allow Americans to be murdered by terrorists?"

Hi John's Mom. You are right about Ron Paul supporters.  I actually thought that they had given up.  We don't see any Ron Paul signs, etc in Denver (where we live), but I'm in Pensacola this week helping our sailor find an apartment.  Today, we ran across a HUGE Ron Paul HQ!!!!  So, you are spot on....his supporters are still out there, and they do need to realize that a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for BO!!!

Comment by chergui53 on October 14, 2012 at 11:38am

BO needs to be defeated....especially for the safety and best interest of our military.  I'm not a warmonger and don't like war, but our military does not have the best protection they deserve to defend themselves while in combat.  If you look on the internet, you will find that our Navy has the least amount of ships since before WWII.  What is that about?  We need to protect our shores, and those protecting us need the best services and equipment available.  This pres just doesn't seem to care.

I am so ready for this election. I can't wait to vote Oboma out. I want my country back!! I don't trust the Poles. I think Romney has a bigger lead over Oboma than is being reported. Believe me. Even people who claim they will vote Oboma, might change their minds once in the voting booth.
