If you do the courtyard have your son come and show his IDs so you can get the Navy rate which saves you about &20 a night

Another good option is the courtyard Marriott in Pensacola 15 minutes from Corry Station halfway between there and the beaches Also walking distance to Maguires which is very good and interesting place to go and across the parking lot from the broken egg another good place to have breakfast if you don't want to eat in the hotel lobby. I was just there three weeks ago

@ Jen. You can stay at Navy Lodge Pensacola, although, sometimes it seems difficult to find vacancy there. Therefore, plan early or there's also Navy Gateway which always had rooms the times that I visited. Both facilities are on the prominent base, NAS, only a short drive from Corry. You can see the lighthouse and aviation museum that are on the grounds there as well. It's a charming area.

My son just arrived in Florida on Saturday. Looking ahead, we would like to plan a visit while he's in A School since it's a 6 month stretch. Any input is appreciated. Anyone know if we can stay in Navy Lodge?

Good  morning from Chicago!  My son will be heading to Corry Station after BC.  He begins BC on Nov 18.  Any information any of you experienced IT Moms can provide ot me would be very much appreciated!  I see all of these initials and am at a loss as to what most of them mean.

Thank you for the info Dolo!!! What kind of I.T. is your daughter doing? Right now my son told me he's on "hold." Something about waiting for more people to start a class. I'm thinking it's because the holidays are up and coming! So they won't get Thanksgiving? I guess we will be going there!! :) We aren't that far at least! :)

As I understand they should be able to come home for Christmas or New Years but how long depends on time they've earned as well as how much they want to use, as may want to save more for longer visit before they move on to where they get stationed

My daughters been there since September 13. you can talk to them every day if you want as long as their not in class, duty, walking or eating. My daughter had a little harder time adjusting here as prepped so much for boot camp & then it changes but they get into the swing. Classes are day or night. She's got 3pm to 12:30 am. He'll want you to send some civilian cloths & personal items.

My son is an IT and went to A school at Corry station. He volunteered with the Chaplain and asked to have watch at the chapel. I will pry for your son to discover the chapel. He really bonded with the chaplain and loved going off base to do projects. He got to attend 4 different Easter services.

I guess what I am telling you is there is a great church right there.

I have never understood why the Broncos cut Tebow.
