I have seen these videos before. They are really great to see. They really helped me and my son see some of the unknown things they will be doing in boot camp. All DEPPERs and there parents should see them. Thanks for posting the link for all to see. Take care.

Here's another one. It shows the training process in the modern RTC facilities from the perspective of the RDCs and Commanding Officers at GL. Capt. Andrews is no longer the Commanding officer of RTC, but it's otherwise up to date. Pretty cool that where your Recruits will train is as close a simulation of being on board a real ship as could be done on land and that thanks to the technology now available to them, training has been reduced from 9.2 weeks to 8 on average. Very sleek and efficient!

Thanks Inga, you've sure been part of that process as far as "A" school unknowns for me! Just paying it forward, or . um , maybe backward! LOL

Here's a very recent one for brand new DEPpers, courtesy of Navy for Moms.com and Rear Admiral Robin Braun. Watch even before the BC videos and definitely before they leave for Boot Camp!

Thank you for these videos. My daughter enlisted in the Navy in July 2009. I didn't think she would make a final sign so soon and I do have concerns. She has her senior year left to complete yet. However, I am happy that she is excited about this opportunity. These videos have helped me to see what she will go through during training.

Glad these videos have helped reduce some of your anxiety and fill in the gaps of your understanding ladies! Usually what we imagine something to be is far worse than the reality! LOL

Thank you, these have been helpful. My son passed his physical tests today and leaves for bootcamp in 29 days, Sept 15. It seems so unreal since we have been waiting since Jan. 9 when he first took his oath. Lately it all seems to be hitting me that he is leaving. He is our only child and we are very proud of his choice. He did the first semester of college last year and that leaving was really nothing, only 80 miles away. It is all so scary and so exciting at the same time.
