Oh...it warms my soul to read notes from all of you ladies. Miss you all, thank you so much for all the support during BC days. I hung on every one of the (Navy for Moms) notes here when my son was in BC. He is in his 8th week of A school. He said it was very interesting and good people. It was hard to have to tell him about some of our family situations. Not sure to tell him things during school time and studies. Not the best time, but had to. Life is not always the way we thought it would be. He said he has been moved several times since BC. Met lots of fine young Sailors and misses the BC guys! Lots of memories. I was told they really don't have graduations for after A school? Is that right? Andria...you had a graduation but maybe Corps is different. So good to see all the Sailors doing so well. God bless all of you and yours,
Linda

I was in GL last Friday to see Stephen graduate Corps school. It was a very nice ceremony, very moving. (Of course, I am emotional anyway). Stephen did get ahold of Eumir on the cell phone and when I spoke to Verna I said "How are you?" and she said "I'm trying to get well" and then the phone went dead and I was never able to speak with her again. Something was wrong with Eumir's cell phone I think. Eumir came to Stephen's graduation too but was gone as soon as the end came and none of us got to speak to him. I am sure he was rushing back to Verna because he was leaving Monday to go back. Glad to hear Paul is having fun. We went to the Navy Pier this go round and I saw all the young people having fun and I thought how great it would be to be 20 again and be hanging out seeing all Chicago had to offer. Hope he makes lots of memories there. Congrats to Justin too Marie. It has been good to have them home for a bit huh? I just love to have my kids back under my roof from time to time. I always sleep so good when they are home.

Congrats to Justin on his graduation from A school. Paul told me that he had talked to someone who had talked to Eumir but I think it was before he got to GL, because all he knew about Verna was that she was very sick. I told him that I thought Eumir was going to be in GL, and Paul was hoping to see him while he was there, but I haven't heard anything else.

Paul is doing well in ATT school, and should finish that up around the end of April. He is also spending money like it grows on trees, but he is having fun and seeing all there is to see in Chicago.

Hope all is well with everyone. Sure miss you all!

I am so glad that Verna is doing better. Justin graduated from his A School this past Friday. I was able to go down and see it. It was smaller than PIR, but very nice. He is home for two weeks and then back down to Goose Creek for Power School. Hope all is well for all of your sailors. Marie

Hello once again ladies, it's good to be back and to read your notes again. i have been out of touch because Eumir took his laptap on the ship. I'm sorry to have writeen just now, much as i would like to give you an update on what's going on with Verna, i can't coz i have to wait for a chance such as this to get back to you guys... anyway, as of this writing Verna has been out of the ICU, done with biopsy and is now in a regular room in VA Hospital. Eumir is with her right now, he's been granted leave for a week, they're now waiting for the results of all the examinations that have been done to Verna. I would like to thank you all for your prayers and concerns for her.I guess it will take her a few more weeks until she gets better, we appreciate all your efforts and i hope that all your sons and daughters are well and so are the rest of your families..........love and prayers..........carol

Well that's crummy news.:-( At least she's in the right place to heal and get better. If you see her make sure and let her know we're all here pulling for her. Have a good trip Andria!! Tell Stephen congrats from us here! :-)

Linda I hope things are going better for you, sorry to hear about the illness in your family. I'm glad they were able to have Shea call you right back. Cody is doing ok, he wasn't making the best financial choices, but he is working hard at his job to help with that.

Stephen called today to tell me Eumir had called him. Seems our Verna is in the hospital in GL with pneumonia. She is better but trying to regain her strength to make her run. I am leaving to go back to GL tomm for Stephen's corps school graduation. I hope to see Verna while I'm there. Please say a prayer for her. Good to hear from you Linda. We sure did have fun times on this group. Hugs to all of you.

Hello ladies...so good to read a note from you all. Thank you all for the support and fun times on this site! So lucky to have you all. I wrote Verna's Mom quite a while ago. Haven't heard from her. Hope all is well. God bless you all.
My son is in A school now. Sure miss him. Guess they don't have graduation like
PIR this time. How is your son Janet? I tried to write you and it rejected my email. We had an illness in the family...lots going on...and it was hard to get a hold of my son. Finally found out who to call. They had him call me right back!
Hope all is well. Take care ladies...keep in touch.
God bless,
Linda

Thanks for the update Andria--I really hope she can muster up all of her strength to get through it. I know that they will really work with her to pass it, so I have a feeling she'll pass it in no time. I'm sure she's more than ready to get out of there and move on in her journey so that should keep her motivated. Looking at the date of your message Friday has come and gone so I'm really hoping she's well on her way by now.:-)

Okay ladies its time to really pray for Verna. She was to PIR last Friday and I had some Mom's with children in her division looking for her to tell her that all of us here in Div 006 were proud of her and to give her a great big N4M's hug from all of us. Got a message from one of the Mom's this am that Verna didn't pass her last run and did not PIR last Friday. She will try again this Friday. Please say a prayer for her. I wish she knew how very much we were all pulling for her! Go Verna! You can do it!
