CONFLABIT!!!! Is right! Shane is holding up fine, he's excited but sad in a way. He's very strong or hides it well! Me on the other hand can't hide crap! Everything is right up front for all to see. Laurie, we can help each other... This is probably one of the hardest things ever. Worse then BC for sure! God is good... They and we will be fine.... ::deep sigh::

it's so darn hard to say GB
Is Shane holding up ok?? my son is a bit down, he loves to come home of corse and then to leave everyone after having his normal life back is a little rough. I too already feel like I have to cry it out and I honestly don't know when I'll see him next either....CONFLABIT
when they ship out, it can be from 6-8 months. So, another Thanksgiving, Xmas without him, Oh and his 19th B-day too. And it's not always easy for us moms to be strong, we're human.

I've had my son home since Friday, he leaves tonight :(
then ships out soon and I'm not too happy about it, not seeing him for 7 months is going to be awful for me LOL

Where is everyone again?

I'm a mess, today is my last full day with Shane before he deploys to Japan. I know he'll be alright but its killing me to not know when I will see him again, it could be a year or even more!!! Were going to have a BBQ and tomorrow we need to go exchange US money for Yen and we're both going to apply for a passport then he'll be off... :( I have the biggest tears ever! I do however hold comfort in knowing how great our Navy is and that it will take care of my son and all it's Sailors!!! But I'm telling you this is hard knowing he'll be so far away!

JoAnne: Have a safe trip, that's a super long drive!

Emily: I'm surprised you didn't sneak off and get married.... hehehe

Sandy: Hope you are continuing to feel better girl!

Hi JoAnne, that is a long drive! I know you are excited. I have 4 more days with Shane till he leaves for Japan. I'm sad but excited for him still. This month with him went by way too fast!!! Enjoy your visit and have safe travels!

Hi All,
I have been babysitting my daughters two kids, a 6 year old and 9th month old, not a lot of chance to get on. I am getting really excited, we leave next Friday to go see Rich in Groton, Connecticut. We are driving his car to him (15 hour drive). This is the first time since bootcamp that we get to see him. Counting down the days. Loved everyone's new pictures. I hope to have my own soon

TO Theresa- there is tons to do in Savannah - lots of museums, shopping and OH MY LORD- if you like to eat- you are coming to the right place. City Market is great downtown and then of course there is river street- the beach is nice but right now a little crowded- they are filming that Miley Cyrus Movie down there- but if you really do decide to come this way- pleas elet me know- would love to meet you- hope everyone els eis doing good Happy Thursday to all

Moms! I hope you've all been gone because your spending times with your kids, or getting ready for them to come home! I'm going to the beach for a week with a few girlfriends next week. Please say prayers for safe travel. Also, Brandon will be meeting his ship July 27th, so I may try to sneak in a trip to VA to see him one last time before he's out to fleet for 4 months! Hope all are well, hope to hear from you all soon!
