Hi! I did not know about this group until mere moments ago. Jaz...you formed it, but did not tell me? When I am the one who told you about N4M in the first place? For shame, girl! You know I am just ribbing you. Glad to have found you ladies. Do you all know about the get together at Coco's on Elliott in Tempe on January 9 at 11:00 AM? I am so hoping to meet some more Navy moms.

Well, it's been an interesting few weeks! Tim went to visit his girlfriend and got married while he was there! He's in Little Creek now and his ship deploys on Jan 15th! Yikes!! I guess he has housing almost completely squared away for her to join him.

Tim is FINALLY going to his PCS!!! Woohoo!! He reports to Little Creek, VA (probably the USS Gunston Hall) Dec 19 - which means we don't get him for Christmas, but we DO get to see him this weekend. He is flying to see his girl today, and they are supposed to fly here this weekend for a couple of days. Think we'll put up the Christmas tree while they're here!!

Julie: LOL, careful what you wish for she may come over, clean out his room and take him with her. Course it's not all that bad if you like her.
Alex's GF is a sweet girl and he has spoiled her and her daughter terribly this last few months. He cooked dinner, cleaned house (never did that willingly when he was home.... hmmm go figure) and just adores the baby: he couldn't be a better daddy even if she was his. She is a lil cutie and you can tell she adores him too. They really miss him.
We had a great visit with all of them just before he deployed, but Hubby wasn't comfortable with being called grandpa yet. Course we'll all be in trouble when he does.

Hard be believe we are talking "January" already. Dooby, do you want to be team leader on this one?

Jeanette: Good to hear from you. Glad that Alex is doing okay, he'll stay in my prayers! I know what you mean about the girls in our sailors lives....I can hardly EVER get ahold of Cory. I needed him to mail some papers home, called for 2 days w/o an answer, texted...got back an "I'll call you in a few"...no call. So I called the girlfriend who got the message to him within a couple of hours!!! Now if she would only come over and clean out his room!!!

Julie, so glad that you got to visit with Cory (even if it was just in between friends and girlfriend...lol). The hazard of being mom, they know we will always be there when THEY need us.
Audreysmema, congrats on TIm's graduation. Hopefully, the weather won't be too bad while they are on stand down. Alex hated "ice" patrol.
Speaking of Alex, he is in Iraq. Seems to like it a little bit better, so far, than Afghanistan. I am still trying to get use not being the one he calls when he is bored or lonely. But, at least his fiancee is good about keeping me up to date. And he is staying in touch by FB (sort of).
