Did Michael have an injury issue as well? Do you think he'll go back to spec ops? Gabe talks a lot about it. He has two great friends who were both dropped for minor injuries, and they all three plan to go back when their term is done in their current rate. In the meantime all three have gotten their skydiving lisence. Now Gabe is a scuba and a sky diver. He makes me nervous. Gabe was in GM training for a while and was thinking about Riverine, but then he had the opportunity to audition for vocalist. I can say the Navy has really allowed him to use his gifts. Both Gabe and we are thrilled with the training he is getting and the opportunities ahead of him. Go Navy!!!

I'm so glad to hear Michael is doing well. I'm not surprised. Gabe was asking where he is on the base. He wants to find him and say "Hey". I'll let him know he is Riverine/SK.

He's doing great Susie. Thanks for asking. He finished SK school and is now training for Riverine. The chiefs keep telling him, "You should go (here)... and You should go (there)...", cause he works so hard and is in such great shape. Michael loves the accolades, but it drives me nuts. I never know what he's going to be doing next. Right now the SK chief is trying to get him moved back into spec. ops. ASAP, because his "talent is completely wasted as an SK." Michael knows it's just a bunch of talk though, because they can't do much do get him back in the SEAL program until he's been in Riverine/SK for two years.

Anyway, he loves being in the Navy and has never regretted his decision for a minute. How's your son doing? I saw he's in the music program. What an honor!!! I remember you talking about his music back in the BC days. It sounds like all of the guys are finally settling in and finding their niche. Hope all is well with you.

Yeah, I remembered who you were after I signed off last time. How could I have forgotten? So much has happened in the past year, and we found out a lot about that adventure he had in bc, thank Heaven! Turns out it was all a good thing, but how are you supposed to know that when it is happening? How is M doing? Has he completed his training?

He was in division 803. Thanks for the tips.

Hi Julie,

Was Michael in division 803 or 031?

When traveling in the Little Creek area, you MUST go to Williamsburg. You probably already know that, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case. The Norfolk Inner-Harbor area and the mall there are good places to visit as well.

Just booked a hotel to go to see my son in VA over the long Thanksgiving weekend. I can't wait. If anyone has any must-see ideas while we are there, I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Susie, Michael is not in music school, but he is in Little Creek. He was in BC with your son. Same division. Glad to hear your son is doing well. Hope you are well too.

Hi All,
My sailor is now at Little Creek in MU school. He will be there until February. Anyone with a loved one in music school? My son is a vocalist/entertainer/auxilliary percussionist.

Sorry Laura, not for sure about internet on the ship. Only good thing is since being out of bootcamp that I get to talk to my daughter everyday now. Her BF is in Georgia and is driving to Little Creek tomorrow. Such a long drive for a short weekend.

So while on a ship he wont be able to get internet access or he will just have to buy it?
