Navy For Moms

This info is for any family members whose child is a Grad-n-Go.
Right after graduation you will be able to spend somewhere around 1 to 2 hours with your child. Then they will go straight to the airport. You can spend time with them at the airport.

Here is the important info...
First let your child know the plan of getting the Gate Pass.
You need to be there when they arrive at the airport
(they are usually dropped off at terminal 1).
When they get there they will go check in at their airline, you need to be with them at this time.
When they are checking in tell the airline person (who is checking them in) that you and whoever may be with you, that you would like to get a Gate Pass.
You will be able to stay with your child until they get on the plane and leave. We were able to watch my sons plane leave the airport,(he graduated on Jan 30th and I thought I would pass this info on to the upcoming Grads.)!! :-)

Make sure you have an ID with you during this process and it is a good idea to leave anything that may not be able to pass through security in you vehicle.
You can not take any liquids through the gate so don't buy a drink right before or you will have to throw it away.
There are lots of restaurants and stores just on the other side pass security.
