@Cora. Thanks for the information. I called Public Affairs this morning and they confirmed that he was in FIT and he hadnt passed his run yet. Im so sad as I know he was looking forward to seeing us this weekend and the same with us. Since he was already a Grad and Go...hopefully he will pass sometime this week and be on his was to A school pretty quickly.

Hi Ladies. I've been reading through the comments but am still just a tad confused. My son's PIR is this Friday 04-01. He called last week and said he had not passed his run and swim and for us not to come to Great Lakes. Well we talked to him again on Sunday and he passed his swim and was taking his run again on yesterday. His division went to battlestations last night but im not sure if he had a chance to go as its pretty late in the evening and I shouldve had that "Im a salior" call by now. If he passed his run today and goes to BS tonight with another division will he be allowed to PIR on Friday with his division? Or is that whenever you fail you automatically got to FIT and dont get a chance to PIR? Im so confused

Hi everyone! My boyfriend was supposed to graduate from boot camp on 1/14 but he got sick the week before graduation with a pneumonia, and he missed the re-take for his run test. He only missed it by 2 seconds :( He's currently in ship 4 div. 2347 but I'm just wondering how long does it usually take recruits to finish up boot camp when they only have to take the run test and then battle stations?

My daughter passed her final run, went to BS and is officially a sailor in the US Navy. They moved her over to THU today after completing BS. We talked today, and I called all the family to give them an update. I am so happy. I will continue to pray for the other sailors in FIT/RCU. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thankfully I did get a call today. He's still on crutches and goes back to the doc this next week. He's phase 1, but wishes he was at least 2 so then he could swim, but no extra activity for now. Guess he's not allowed to get around much on his own.

Haven't heard from my son except one letter two weeks ago. Is there anyway to find out anything? Last I heard he may have a torn ligament in his foot.

Thanks. I am trying to stay as supportive as I can. I think she is giving up though. she said she is trying but not getting anywhere. She feels defeated and discouraged. It is something she is going to have to do on her own. I just hope she doesnt give up totally.
