OMG I got a 15 min phone call!!! Two in one day!!! I am on cloud nine!!!! And he might get the regular phone call for twenty minutes tomorrow!!!!

Also, while my fiance was in basic, they recieved mail every weekday and could read it whenever, but could only write and send on Sundays. Later they were allowed to write on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, but mail still only went out Sundays.
Mail is of course a privledge, not a right, so if they get in trouble, the RDCs can restrict it.

I got a like two minute phone call today! More security clearance and he only called me because he needed his dad's cell phone number and he only has mine memorized....lol. He said he MIGHT get another real phone call tonight but if not he should be getting one this week because he passed all his stuff!!!

When I talked to my husband on Saturday he said they get mail everyday but are only allowed to open them on Sunday's. I send every day so that he has a lot to open on Sunday. maybe it depends on their RDC's

I write a letter everyday. I just thought they could only open them on Sundays......Post office ever day for me now.

oh my goodness emilylane, send mail EVERY SINGLE DAY!! i did the same thing at first.. i had no idea what to do, (and this was before i was on N4M to get advice from people) i waited for his letter to write a reply.. do you know how long that took?! he quickly begged me to write as much as possible and I caught on fast. They can get mail every day but can only send out on sundays. (thats how it was for my boyfriend) but SEND SEND SEND, you mail is GOLD to him and its all he has to keep him going!

I bought a calling card today to send to him. And some stamps. I also thought they could only read their mail on Sundays so I have been only going to the post office one day a week. He probably thinks I am the worst girlfriend ever. I'm going to start going everyday so he can get letters more often.

I didnt get a call for weeks into it. He had the worest of luck. He had to stand watch for one and then a person in his division messed up.
