My son did call and he made it to GP Mississippi safely.

@ JP . . .my son leaves tomorrow on the USS HOUSTON Sub for the next two months. He is going to e-mail FROM the sub whenever he can and then I'll have his sub e-mail address. Ask your son to do the same. Just e-mail you from the Sub and then you'll have it. Hope that helps. May God go with our boys!

Well my son leaves tomorrow early morning on his next journey.. He will be heading to Mississippi for his training in Mobile security forces. Hopefully he will have time to call us or at least let us know he made it there alright

my daughters Navy email is firstname.lastname@navy.mil
is he friends with any one on the ship to see what there email address is?

If he works on a ship, his address should be his ship name. For Ex:
(NAME)
USS (Ship Name)
(Dept.if applicable)
FPO, AP ZIP CODE

Help for some info! My son doesn't know what his Navy email address is. Does anyone know how he or I can find out what it is, don't want him to deploy without knowing, because we think that is the only email they can use on the sub.

Buying a car there may make sense in some cases, in Mindy's it didn't. Her car is not very old she has a 2006. That was the main reason she wanted hers, after all she is making the payments on it still.

Thanks Karen & Patricia! I'll have him check out shipping the car, but I think that he too thought it would be faster to buy one over there. I'm rather surprised he didn't start looking immediately, but he & a buddy rented a car & toured around a bit while they had the chance. He's on (or will be sometime) the USS City of Corpus Christi & is an ET-NAV. I know he'll be happy when he actually gets on it for the first time. He's ready to start working toward those Dolphins. Patricia, we'll just have to put aside those east/west problems & stick together!
