Hi Julie. I am new to this also as of about an hour or so ago. My son is also stationed at Pearl Harbor. He is on the USS Hopper. I live in FL. Miss him alot. He has been there since Dec of last year.

I"m new too, this is my first day on here. My son has been in Pearl Harbor for 2 years now, he's now on the USS Chicago submarine, I'm in FL too. It's so hard to get over there since it's so far away. I will miss his homecoming which will be soon. I went out last fall to see him. He won't be back to the East coast for 2 more years. But he has leave in July so I will get to see him soon.

Welcome, Julie and Katie! My son is on the USS Columbus, submarine, out of Pearl Harbor. He's been there since Aug '08.

Our son is a CTT stationed at Pearl Harbor. He arrived mid-February.

Welcome Julie and Katie....My son is on the USS Crommelin FFG37 and has been there since early December, 2008. This is his first duty station, and it's been a big adjustment having him so far away. He seems to really like it, so that makes it easier for us. We live in Kentucky, so we've got a LONG trip ahead of us when the budget will allow!

Hi Sheila. My son Dennis has been @ Pearl since Dec 2007. It is really far away. He loves it. Right now he is deployed. When he is at base, we talk at least once a day. I love that we can do that. For deployment - e-mail is awesome. Think of all the parents that couldn't do this years ago. It makes it alot easier. He joined June '07 bootcamp and "A" school brought him through Nov "07. He came home for a month then he went to Pearl. He was just home 12/31-1/9. Then back for the deployment. It was awesome to see him. What a difference a year makes. So grown up! He has grown into such a wonderful man (so fast). I think the Navy is great for him. He has a couple of friends that jioned before him. Glad he followed in their footsteps. This site is great.

Hi, I am new to this group as well. I see alot of new members. My son Tyler is a Navy corpsman, stationed at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base Hi. He's been there for over a year now. He has been on one deployment, and is leaving again for Iraq in 2 weeks. I'm interested in any other Marine Corps moms for 3/3 Kilo Co. that I could keep in contact with during thier deployment and homecomming.I look forward to hearing from you, and may the heavenly father bless us all during these difficult times.
