I have just started as a volunteer to collect the oral if possible history of Women Who served or are serving this country. This information will be permanently put in the The Women In Military Service For America Memorial, at the main gate at Arlington Cemetery. The Women's Memorial recognizes all women who have served in or with the armed forces - past, present, future. Documents their experiences and tells their stories. They are trying to locate and register all eligible women. I am trying to concentrate on any WWII Female Veterans. If you know of any, or if you know any families that can and will tell her story, please let me know. This is the fastest disappearing heroes, I know that we as a group can make the difference, and preserve this history. For more information go to www.womensmemorial.org

My son is headed to Yokosuka Japan after Holiday Break !!!! He joined 7/22/09 right out of HS... graduates A-school (GSM school) this Thursday and is coming home for break... So excited to see him....

I got a pleasant surprise from my sailor last night. We talked on the phone for about an hour, and he said he gets to come home earlier than we thought he would fro Christmas. He should be home this Saturday! 15 days leave! (2 of them spent driving for 14 hours)
