Below is a picture of my new grandson. Born Oct 27 (day before my birthday). Sure was hoping he would hang on for a few more hours but he wanted his own day...lol. Name is Asher Charles, 8lbs 4oz. 20.5 inches long.

Kaye I wish I was closer I would love to celebrate with you but I'm sure I won't make it. Hug your sailor for me and tell him I said Happy Birthday and thanks for all he does. I'll be sending up prayers for you and your famliy. Praying that all goes well with the surgery.

Kaye, we would love to share this celebration with you. AS far as I know Chuck don't have anything planned that evening, but that is my birthday so you never know what he may have up his sleeve. I will try to find out later today and give you a def. answer tonight. Thanks for sharing your sailor with us!!!!

Sorry to hear you are having more problems. You are in my prayers morning and night.

Dear Navy Family,
My brain is not getting enough oxygen. My prior post didn't say what DAY we were having dinner. Here's another go at it:

I know this is last minute, but that's the hand I've been dealt... my surgery has been moved up to this coming Thursday, Oct 29 -- because my lab work says it needs to be soon.

While our sailor is home this week, we'd planned to have a birthday celebration for him since he'll be underwater for his actual birthday in December. We'd love to have any of you join us if you wish to. NO GIFTS, PLEASE! Trust me, he got a ton of stuff from his mom! We'd just really like to have a large "family style" dinner and embarrass him by singing Happy Birthday.

We'll be doing this on Wednesday, at 6:30pm, at the Olive Garden in Avon (our usual Westies meeting place). Ask for "The Navy Family." Coming late is perfectly fine too!

If you think you'll be there, send me a messge, or leave a note on my personal page... just so we kind of know how many to get seats for.
Hugs! Kaye & Andrew

Kaye I am so happy that Drew got to come home. I know you were so heart broken last Monday. Give him hugs for me and tell him Thank You so much for what you are doing.

Talk to Zack this weekend and he doesn't think he will be home in Nov as first plan since he fail to QC twice. He will either be here Christmas or New Years (maybe). This is going to be another lonely Christmas without him. Hopefully I get to talk to him this year.

Pat: I am happy your sister is doing so well. We missed you on Monday.

Navy08mom, No, unfortunetly he won't be home until mid Jan. That is 2 Christmas' in a row he missed at home. Last year we celebrated Christmas before he left (mid Dec.) this year we are waiting for him to come home. We will continue to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas when it is meant to be celebrated, but all the family stuff is going to wait on him.

Jim, so happy to hear that he is coming home for treatment. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Pat, glad to hear that your sister is doing well. I often think about her.

Kaye, keep us posted on how your doing and give an updated reminder when it's time for the surgery.

Sis is good...working two jobs to pay the bills. Kaye, will pass along the message. I was a bad kid and took all three of his rifles when I drove up to see him...He is looking for a range, guess Drew could take time away from mom/family and fly up to see him, ;-) not! He bought a (new for him) car, which this time next year will be sitting in my yard and I have gotten instructions to drive it only on Sunday to church. Enjoy your time with Drew!
