Thanks, Pat, for passing along the e-mails. Our boxes may be Christmas gifts, but handing them out at Thanksgiving sounds like a great idea. You never know when someone needs a spiritual "lift" at the holidays!

I just remembered that Trish & Winavymom aren't in the Holiday group. The emails below are from the PAO of the USS Nimitz and the CMC of the USS Chosin regarding our holiday project. We did a great job Ladies!! Thank you so much for all of your help. You too Deb!!!

I posted the emails I received from the PAO of the USS Nimitz and the USS Chosin

Ms. xxxxxxxx,

We were lucky enough to have a big replenishment of stores. Among that was a lot of mail. I received a grand total of 14 boxes today. Some were labeled “USS NIMITZ Holiday Project”; some had “Navy for Moms” on them; a couple did not have anything labeled on them and were not from anyone that I recognized as family of crew members. It came at a great opportunity as we have our Thanksgiving here tomorrow and this will be a great way to spread some joy to our crew here.

I appreciate the support of the organization and the thoughts supporting us and my shipmates out here during the holidays away from our families.

Warm Regards,
CMDCM(SW) John Ullery
Command Master Chief
USS CHOSIN (CG 65)

We have a great plan in place to ensure that each package is distributed. It is actuall good that it is coming in waves to ensure that we can catalog the gifts.

This is a very cool project, and we are all thankful to have such a great nation to defend.

Hi, I am going to my mother-in-law and bring a few sides. My daughter is in from school so we are having a nice visit. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgving and hope all of your sailors are doing good. My son is working on Thanksgiving, no turkey for him!

Hi Karen, what is new with you? Good to hear from you! How is your son"
