Looks like this December Basic Training group isn't very active, but in the event someone else sees this and wants to connect, my son is leaving for Great Lakes on December 12th :)

I'm actually doing well :)  I'm excited for my son and know that this will be a time of growth.  My son will be 20 and has been waiting to ship for 6 months.  Truly been spinning his wheels.  How is your daughter feeling about leaving on Tuesday?

Thinking about you today. My son left yesterday and I'm a bit of a mess. I suspect there will be a time of adjustment on both ends.
I too am learning this site. It helps to know it's not uncommon to feel in a funk. He left on the 12th and that day was rough, as was the next day, but I was able to get some rest last night and had a good day. I came upon a day by day schedule and it was interesting to see what they are doing each day. I'm going to start writing tomorrow and am looking forward to receiving the form letter so I can make plans for PIR. I'm starting to learn the abbreviations as well :)

Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

That is the Day to Day link.  It is really cool to see where they're at. My son got there Monday night, so I'm thinking his P-1 day would have been Tuesday?  :)

My daughter left on the 7th ...I have forgotten to breath!!

My son leaves the 13th. Good luck to all that ship out this month. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas:)
Hope you're doing okay. Departure day is hard ❤️

My Daughter just left on the 7th Pearl Harbor Day! She was excited.  Wishing you a great depart!

Sandra

I left info for you on your My Page.

My son also leaves December 12, 2016

Glad to see all the Moms coming together this is a tough Month to have them going for me.
