Hello ladies!!  How are you all hanging in there?  Been 16 days since he has left.  I pray every morning and night for my son and all the other recruits.  Hubby and I are trying to get use to being “empty nesters”...lol.  First weekend we sat around and said what do we do it is so quiet.  Some days are better than others, but I keep busy which helps.  I signed up for Sandboxx so I can send a few letters online when I get the address.  I have also been composing letters and getting cards of encouragement and thinking of you cards and making sure they have no glitter and envelopes are plain.   I think what has helped me most is researching and knowing.  This sight is amazing and also found some Navy Mom groups on Facebook too.  I found the support from these women are amazing and knowing you have went through this or at the same stage helps cause some people don’t understand.  Your all on my thoughts and prayers.

My son left last week and I have some good days and some not so good. And I keep having bad dreams and can’t sleep. I took some NyQuil and knocked myself last night so it helped. I think it’s jusy that I’ve never not been able to speak to him. The fear of not knowing what’s going on. Also, I am told I am on edge and snippy. Lol I think once I start getting letters I will be much better. I pray for him daily and those with him as well and this forum has provided me with a ton of information and helped me.

I had a bad dream last night that he was home and I was wondering how he got here and why he wasn’t in boot camp.  Then in my dream I was like I have the navy Mom sticker on my car and a shirt...you need to go back...lol.  Yes I agree when you can write it will be better...I stalk the mail box cause I know it will be any day.

My son left on Monday. Last night was my night to cry...lots. I feel better today (puffy eyes and all). I too am so thankful for the support  and information from BTDT Navy moms. It helps immensly.

Awe...hugs to you!!   Yes I have had some cry’s and it does help.  Sounds weird but when you get the kid in a box it is sad but helps...my dog and cat sniffed his stuff while I hugged his shirt.    It does get better as time goes.

Hang in there ladies!

Thanks!!  Love it!!!
