I got my call around 8:00 PM last night!  I'm with the others, it was very scripted.  I bawled when I hung up but then my husband brought me a flash drive, plugged it in and said watch this.  It was a video my SR made for me before he left!  And, apparently there is one for each week of boot camp.  It was a complete surprise to receive this gift from my only child, my sarcastic, don't touch me, son.  I love him to the moon and back!

Oh my gosh thats so sweet, gives me chills, I wish my son would have thought of that. Thats awesome and such a great kid. Enjoy those videos.

That is so sweet and thoughtful. I got my call last night about 8:00pm also.

How are you holding up?  I've been a mess most of the week but feel pretty good today.  Of course, if dwell on things too much, I'll burst into tears.  My eyes may never be normal size again!

Got the box today!  Everyone getting theirs as well?

Got mine today!!!!

My son left on the 28th, still no box? Hopefully today!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!  My husband said the box is heavy and I'm praying my SR didn't waste money sending his stinky shoes back to me!  He worked at Krispy Kreme while he was in college and trust me, you can NOT wash that smell out!  Those shoes smelled of grease and foot odor and needed to go in the garbage!  LOL

LOL I could imagine so!!! I hope I get it today- want to fill somewhat connected to him. Things were getting easier, been taking lots of walks but having a harder time today. Not sure why- guess its part of the roller coaster. Cant wait for his address so I can atleast send him my letters.

I was thinking the same thing!  I went Friday - most of yesterday without crying and then today when the box came . . . . I teared up.  I wish it could be easier.  He kept telling me, "Mom, I'm not dead, you know!"  But the lack of contact feels like they are.

ya, it so weird to get the 'kid in a box', made me miss him worse.

I hope everyone is doing well. My son shipped out on the 29th and got his box today. I cannot wait for the letter.

My son shipped out 06/28 and i got the letter Monday then the box today.  You should get it soon!
